Base unit has small sharp pins underneath, which help you locate it on a centring cross you draw on the mountboard. The oval size differential setting is locked with a thumb screw.

The '3-Step' carries the cutting blade on a pivoted head with a little lever, supported on a small wheel.

You click the blade down one notch, and cut one revolution. Then another notch and another turn and so on.

With practise, the Logan '3-STEP' can be used to cut many kinds of oval mount styles, including double mounts, inlays and multiple openings. Scales are metric and imperial. Uses '324' blades (Part no's. 3920 & 1749).

The oval base is located by pins onto cross marks drawn on the mountboard. It has easy adjustment to achieve shapes from circles to ovals with a maximum differential of 3" / 75mm. The cutting head is swivel jointed to the rigid arm, and adjusts with a thumbscrew.

The M-1100 blade (Part no's. 2754 & 2974), to the Dexter 3 shape, is guided by a tracking guide wheel, and is raised and lowered into the cut with a finger lever. Start / stop marks are minimised by the tracking wheel.

Comes with 5 M-1100 blades and six months warranty.
