NOBEX 'DO IT 110' HOBBY MITRE SAW

Designed by NOBEX with a quick lock action to hold the blade at 45° either way. Blade is 565mm. Clamp holds the moulding in place. Cuts most wood mouldings up to 95mm wide. Not suitable for polymer or aluminium mouldings.

Standard blade is 18tpi. For finer cuts, order the 24tpi blade 2494.

For good quality frames you need to be sure that each pair of mitred mouldings are exactly the same length - use this saw with the EZY Measuring Table, all assembled onto a baseboard.

FrameCo EZY Measuring Table metric

Key to successful framing is to cut mitres at exactly 45°, and to cut each pair to exactly the same length. This makes it simple for you, and it can be fitted to most hand (and some electric) mitre saws.

We suggest that you attach the saw and the Ezy Measure to a base board. This keeps it aligned and allows you to hang it up. Make up a left-hand moulding support with scrap wood.

The accurate printed scale is calibrated during set-up. Then, for each frame, you simply read off the desired rebate length. The sliding stop ensures that the next piece you cut will be exactly the same length.

Ezy Measuring TABLE comes in two sections which plug together, to give a maximum working length of 1140mm.

Logan FP100-2 PRO SAW

PRO-SAW looks similar to others but has been specially modified for accurate mitre cutting of picture frame mouldings.

It has a 54" table with scale to support and measure the moulding - with a sliding stop for repeat cuts.

Two fast action clamps hold the moulding in place and precision guides ensure accurate 45° cuts.

Uses standard 550mm to 565mm blades, giving you a choice of tooth pitch.

LOGAN Precision Sander Elite F200-2

Big 10" 5kg disk, faced with fine abrasive. Moulding cut on a hand-mitre saw is placed in the guide and pushed against the disc while it is being turned. This gives the faces a smooth finish helping you create good corner joins. Takes mouldings up to 90mm wide.

How much to sand ? On each end, make three pencil marks across the face. Sand just enough to fade all the marks.

With 45° guide and removal bar.
