Storing mountboard between dividers under a workbench is standard practice by many framers. But keeping those boards neat and tidy is a challenge, especially extracting smaller pieces which tend to get pushed to the back. Our original Ultimo mountboard storage cart was a successful solution to the problem.
Now we’ve taken that and improved it further. Ultimo II is a stable and free rolling design with three mountboard storage slots.
The light but rigid steel structure rolls under a workbench on four large wheels hidden inside the frame. The board is kept upright by vertical dividers.
Ultimo II carries up to 180 standard size mountboards, 1120 x 915mm / 44" x 32". You can also store foamboard and mounted prints in it. It is not designed to store heavy materials like glass.
Ultimo II rolls under any bench with 860mm / 34" or more clearance. It is carefully packed and comes complete with full instructions for assembly.
Each of the mountboard slots is app. 95mm wide, taking up to 60mm 1.4mm mountboards, storing 180 boards in total.
