A one-day course designed for newcomers to professional framing. Learn the basic skills of cutting and joining moulding, and cutting bevel mounts - all on professional framing equipment. You'll learn how to cut glass and assemble and finish a frame.

There are talks on "How Moulding is Made" and "The Business of Framing".

The course is run in Birmingham on our behalf by Roy Rowlands GCF, to a syllabus endorsed by the Fine Art Trade Guild.

A certificate of attendance is awarded. Course limited to around eight. We hope to occassionally run a similar course also at Lion South during '12.

The framing training courses at Lion are supported by Colourmount. The mountboards used in the demonstrations and hands-on training are all Colourmount Conservation.

Each attendee receives a pack which includes a mountboard selector and a set of chevron corners.
