Panel with holes 5mm Clear 297mm x 210mm

Clear Acrylic Panels, with 9.5mm diameter holes, can be used in either of two ways:

Acrylic Frames, sandwich style

An Acrylic Frame, sandwich, style clamps the image on paper between two panels of acrylic. The back is typically a coloured panel, Black, White, Frosted, Pearl or Graphite with a 5mm Clear face panel. The image is usually smaller than the acrylic so the coloured back panel shows as a border. You can choose to take the image to the edge of the acrylic frame, then you will need to make holes in the paper for the Posts.

All Lion acrylic frames use acrylic panels of premium quality cast acrylic. They are precision laser cut to size, giving consistency of size and smooth semi-polished edges. The image is positioned on the back panel, where Post-Its can help, and it is held with a small piece of archival adhesive. The panels of acrylic are clamped with the Posts passing through the holes. A Spring Thingy© hanger fixes between the Posts on the back so it can be hung securely on standards picture hooks.

Flat Panel Graphics with image on paper face or surface mounted to acrylic panel

The image on paper can either face mounted to the back of an acrylic panel with Optically Clear Mount Film, OCMF, or mounted to the face of the acrylic with cold mounting film. If mounted to the surface, applying cold over-laminating film will protect the image and add different effects, including matt, satin, gloss or a texture.

Posts pass through the holes in the acrylic and Spring Thingy© fixed to the Posts on the back let it hang securely on picture hooks.

All Lion acrylic panels are individually packed in protective cardboard. Always tear the packaging to open; never use a knife or scissors. All have protective film on both faces. Remove this at the last minute - when removing peel slowly and from the middle of a short edge, rather than from the corner. This reduces static on the acrylic.
