V4107J Value Munken DUO Mountboard 1.7mm Large FSC Mix 70% 1 sheet

This large size DUO board is only available to order. Minimum is two pallets of 250 sheets, each bulk packed. Customers need to have access to a forklift when taking deliveries

V4107J boards are 1.7mm, extra-large 1400 x 1000mm / 55”" x 39". Normal Value Munken board size is 1200 x 800mm

Value Munken DUO Mountboard is made in Sweden by Munken. It is Pale Cream on one face and Off White on the other. Four-ply so it stays flat.

+ DUO meets FATG quality Level 3. This is sometimes known as White Core

+ All DUO and PURE mountboards are FSC Mix 70%

+ Surface and core of DUO and PURE have a very low speck count

+ DUO and PURE cut superbly to give clean and sharp bevels

DUO mountboards are made in Sweden by Munken in the Munkedal paper mill, certified to ISO 14001. The mill has a continuing programme to maintain its position as probably the most environmentally friendly paper mill in the world.

All the Munkedal mill ever makes are white and pale cream papers. Nothing else. Many other mills make such papers first, gradually working through the rainbow ending with dark colours. Then they clean the whole machine out and start all over again. But it is impossible to clean out all of the dark fibres and some can end up as specks in the surface and core in other mountboards.

That can rarely happen with PURE Conservation Level 2 boards or DUO Level 3 boards and their surfaces and core have very few specks.

Value Munken DUO 1.7mm and 1.4mm mountboards have many uses in framing:

- As a single mount, and users can choose between two face colours
- As a double mount with subtle shading of the bevel
- Hinge the art on paper to it
- Backing board for smaller pictures

The super-efficient Munken production process means that DUO mountboards are FSC Mix 70%, PAT tested and meet the Guild quality, Level 3, all at favourable prices.
