Easy to transport, the Hoffmann MU-3P is pneumatic adaptable bench-top machine for routing single dovetail slots for Hoffmann Keys W1, W2, W3, and W4.

The dovetail joint is a classic way of joining timber. On some harder woods and more complex profiles, even the very best underpinners with skilled operators can struggle to get a good join.

Precision engineered Hoffmann machines rout a dovetail slot in the faces of the mitre. Specially shaped moulded dovetail keys are then inserted to give an extremely tight and secure mitre joint. Made in Germany.

How to use

Positon and secure the fence plate, laying the frame moulding up against it. Pneumatically clamp the moulding by engaging the foot pedal, this will also start the motor. The router unit rises through the frame moulding, routing to the pre-set depth. The Hoffmann MU-3P automatically returns to its home position and switches off once the routing depth has been reached. The routed frame moulding is then safely released.
