Minimum order explained

We’ve made your minimum order much simpler from September 2017...

You can now mix moulding lengths and chop with materials, sundries, hardware and mountboards*, to place a minimum order total of £50 (ex VAT & carriage).

This replaces the previous separate £30 sundries & £50 mouldings totals. This means you will be able to combine your orders, allowing you the increased flexibility to order what you really need.

Order 2 hours before you collect, we’ll have everything ready and waiting for you when you arrive.

If you arrange for someone else to come and collect the order for you, please ensure you notify us of their name and ensure they bring I.D.


Why am I only being offered 'Trade Counter Collection' as a delivery address?

You have a 'collection only' item in your basket - these include:

Unfortunately these items cannot be despatched safely or economically. They are only available for collection from the trade counter at our Birmingham warehouse.

Which couriers do you use?

DX Freight for most items, or DPD for orders that fit into small, compact parcels.

Can Lion give a delivery time / date?

When supplying a delivery address, consider that the carriers assume your premises are clearly marked and accessible. Most deliveries are made during normal business hours but occasionally may occur earlier or later.

You can provide an alternative delivery address in 'My Account' or during checkout. If you would like to ask for delivery on a specific day, this can be done in the delivery comments during checkout. Unfortunately we cannot specify a delivery time in advance.

We cannot accept any liability in the case of failure by the couriers to deliver on any specified day.

If your delivery is via our main courier DX Freight then you will receive an email on the morning of the delivery.

You can contact DX to change the delivery day. Once your goods have been loaded, the tracking details will display an estimated one-hour delivery window.

If you are waiting for an urgent delivery and cannot get enough info from courier tracking, call us after 2pm and we'll check progress. If you have received notification of a delivery window, allow an extra 30 minutes for unforeseen delays.

Due Dates

Due dates shown on the site are as accurate as possible, but are indicative only. Please call us if you need absolute clarity on the expected due date. Due dates often change as a result of factors outside our control.

We recommend that you do not commit to project completion dates that are contingent on stock arriving precisely when predicted. We cannot accept any claims for losses as a result of inaccurate or unreliable stock levels or due dates. 

Damaged Goods

When you receive a delivery, check and count the parcels. If there is any sign of damage, write 'Goods appear damaged' on the handheld terminal or delivery sheet.

Claims for shortage or damage must be made in writing within 7 days of receipt. Include your Lion Customer Reference Number, the invoice number and the date goods received.
