Peterboro Museum

Peterboro Museum cotton rag solid colour mountboards meet and exceed the standards set by Fine Art Trade Guild for cotton museum board. Peterboro Museum board is approved and used by the National Gallery in Washington DC, USA.

They are suitable for the highest quality framing of most paper based art and materials, including photographs. Peterboro Museum cuts smoothly as all the plies are of the same quality and caliper with consistent density.

Manufacturing purity

Virgin cotton fibres are processed through a state-of-the-art cleansing system which removes all impurities. The surface and core of Peterboro Museum board are virtually speck-free.

Peterboro Museum board has natural archival quality and is completely acid-free, with a pH range of around 8.0. Buffered with calcium carbonate for very long term stability.

Solid colour

The finest pigments are used, to guarantee that the colours will not bleed, rub off, fade or scuff. Even the Peterboro Museum Black board meets the demanding criteria set by the Fine Art Trade Guild museum standard.

Peterboro Museum boards are sized so are excellent for most wash-line work and fine art printing. The grain of Peterboro Museum board is always along the longest dimension.

The Image Permanence Institute have tested Peterboro Museum and it passes their Photo Activity Test - PAT.
