Heritage
PLEXIGLAS® is the original acrylic brand, developed over 90 years ago by German chemist Dr Otto Röhm and synonymous with premium acrylic. Today, PLEXIGLAS is produced by POLYVANTIS, a global manufacturer of high-performance sheet materials with a reputation for consistent production and rigorous quality control.
Industry Benchmark
PLEXIGLAS® provides a level of optical quality that sets the industry benchmark; it is engineered to provide outstanding transparency and brilliance, helping artwork appear clear, vibrant, and true to colour. Unlike lower-grade acrylics, premium PLEXIGLAS® sheets are manufactured to strict tolerances that minimise visual distortion and maintain excellent surface quality.
Looking Ahead
While we are maintaining our stock of PLEXIGLAS® due to its superior reliability and performance, we are keeping a close eye on the market.
Should prices continue to rise significantly, or if we encounter issues with availability, we will look at other brands to offer alongside the premium PLEXIGLAS® product. However, if we do introduce alternatives, we’ll be very clear (no pun intended) about how they compare in terms of quality and consistency.
