French Cleat style split batten profile in solid Ayous

A French Cleat consists of two interlocking strips – one fixes to the frame, the other to the wall, ensuring the artwork hangs flush, level and secure. The weight of the picture is distributed along the strip.

+ Ideal for hanging heavier artwork and mirrors

+ Frame sits flush to the wall and can’t be easily knocked off

+ Helps accurately locate pictures hung in groups

+ Profile can be cut to size

+ Screw a single piece inside the rebate on the top edge of the frame

+ Or make a sub-frame to support the whole frame – ideal for large frames made from narrow mouldings

+ Screw a second piece to the wall with the angled edge facing up and out

+ Made from solid Ayous. Also available for use as a slip L1691.
