Due to its widespread availability and low cost, soda lime glass is still the most commonly used for picture framing. Clear glass has light transmission ~ 90% and absorption of ~ 2%. Allows over 90% of light transmission and has less than 8% reflection. Blocks up to 45% of UV light.

Q: I am needing a piece of this glass cut to 230mm by 625mm. And another piece 348mm by 445mm. I noticed you said, 'We deliver cut sizes of glass and mirrors on our regional Lion van service.' Could you please give me a quote. And let me know how I should go about ordering bespoke cut glass sizes? Understand minimum order is £50, so I would also be purchasing other products to make the order value up. But would like to know cost of the bespoke glass cutting separately. Thank you.
A: Unfortunately we do not offer a regional Lion van service anymore. Nor do we cut glass to size. Glass is collection only from our trade counter here in Birmingham.
