22mm 'Bare Wood' Cherry Frame Moulding - L939

Product Description

L939 22mm 'Bare Wood' Cherry Frame Moulding

Colour and Grain: Pale pink with a light brown grain that can vary from straight to swirly in a single length.

Cutting: Cherry is a hard wood and can only be worked with on professional framing equipment. For the best quality cut, order this moulding mitre cut to size on our Chop Service.

Joining: Joining Cherry takes some skill - because underpinners displace the timber fibres as the v-nail is inserted, getting a tight join on dense hard woods can be a struggle. If you work with these timbers, try the Hoffmann Frame Joiner, which routs a slot for a dovetail key. Once tapped into place, the key pulls the corner tightly together.

Finishing: This beautiful timber just needs a clear wax. Unfinished Cherry ages to a beautiful rich red. Take a look at our wide range of finishing products.

Ordering bare woods: We take care to match the grain and colour between lengths as far as possible but it’s important to be aware that bare woods vary more widely than finished woods. Click on our short video to see a longer length. Bare woods can also be a little more prone to warping and twisting.
