In any dry mounting task, it often happens that there is exposed adhesive around an item being mounted. Laying Silicone Release Film or Paper face down over it will prevent any surplus adhesive sticking to the heated platen. Once there, adhesive can be tedious to remove.

This release film is transparent which makes it easier to position when working. It can be used either way up which is very handy in dry-mounting and over-laminating tasks.

• On black posters and similar, it may leave smears when new. Minimise by popping it into the press between two sheets of board to soak up surplus silicone.
• Less inclined to crease than normal silicone release papers.
• Store carefully - its natural static attracts dust which can result in ‘pitting’ on the surface of the item being mounted.
