Bond a piece of mountboard to a piece of 5mm adhesive foam board, sized to suit.
Use a Brayer Roller to get a good bond.
Mark the location where you want to fix the mounting clip. Usually this is in the centre.
Drill or pierce a 3mm hole and insert the countersunk bolt.
Place the washers on the back to spread the load. Bolt in place and remove any excess thread.
To fit the ball place it into the bottom two arms, flex the top arm slightly to make adjustments.
Make a deep rebate frame with matching spacers and assemble.
Cut pieces of mountboard and self-adhesive foam board, sized to suit the frame.
Allow for an appropriate border between the cricket bat and edge of the boards. 50mm for example.
Bond the self-adhesive foam board to the mountboard to add rigidity. Brayer roll to finish.
Centre the clip on the mountboard and lay the bat into the toe holder clips without pushing the handle in the retaining arms.
Check positioning. Once happy, carefully remove the bat from the clips and mark the location of the lower screw hole.
Drill or pierce 3mm two holes and attach the clips with the bolts provided.
Use the countersunk bolt for the lower hole and the pan head bolt for the upper hole.
Place washers at the back of the foam board and secure with the nuts. Cut off excess thread.
Place the toe of the bat into the toe holder clip and the handle of the bat into the retaining arms.
Make a deep rebate frame with matching spacer and assemble.
