Touch Up a Frame
Paste, paste pens and touch up waxes can be used to fill small gaps in the mitre. Use lighter fluid to remove any excess - check first that it won’t take the finish off with it.
Colouring the faces of a mitre with a pen or paint marker before joining means there’s no white line across the join.
Touch up cream disguises small imperfections in a finish.
Tip: Touch up pens and solid waxes are generally best for closed and open grain finishes; for foil and leaf finishes go for a soft wax or cream.
